Categories: Junior (14 – 17) & Senior (19 – 21)
Speaker Requirements:
(1) Business Casual dress code on competition day.
(2) Must address the given topic
(3) Must provide a strong introduction, body, and conclusion
(4) Must be three to five minutes in length
Evaluation Criteria
Your speech will be assessed in accordance with the standards and requirements carried out by a panel of judges, whose decision will be final. The following criteria will apply:
(A) Content – appropriateness and positioning
(B) Structure – clarity and coherence
(C) Audience adaptation – positioning, appropriateness, relation
(D) Ethos – speaker credibility, command of the topic
(E) Delivery – polish, self-possession, command of self and situation, poise
